Sunshine, Smiles & 3,000+ Visitors: iMEP support Milly’s Smiles Fun Day!
iMEP, the international music event production company, were happy to help out at Great Harwood Showground to make the fundraising day for local charity Milly’s Smiles special. It turned out to be a sun-drenched day that exceeded all expectations, drawing in over 3,000 visitors from across the community.
The main marquee, stage and sound equipment, plus technical support, was provided free of charge by iMEP. People of all ages came together to enjoy entertainment, activities, and local food. The support from local businesses, community groups, performers, and volunteers was nothing short of inspiring, making this event really special for Milly’s Smiles and organiser Lorraine Hargreaves.
Opened by the Town Cryer, Rawden Kerr and new Mayor of Hyndburn, Cllr Josh Blayne Allen, the fun and activities carried on for the whole day, including a very special show from the Lancashire Dog Company! Other performances included shows by Halcyon Creative Kids, Jess B Dance Fitness, Mai Tai Gym, the Imperial Alliance Stormtroopers, and a fabulous set of ukelele players.
Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP commented: “We were absolutely blown away by the turnout and the support on the day. To see so many people coming together — smiling, enjoying themselves, and supporting one another — was truly heartwarming. It’s fantastic to be able to help everyone’s day by providing equipment and support, and I hope it raised lots of money for such a brilliant cause.
“Our assets we can utilise on the day are ideally suited to small events such as this through to international pop stars and musicals – we take the headache away on sound and stage production!”
Lorraine from Milly’s Smiles added, “This is the first time we have had a professional sound and stage set up, and we can’t thank Eddy and his team enough for their support.”
